GUITAR STRAP LOCK

One of the worse things that can happen to a musician is damaging their instrument when their strap fails and down it goes. The opportunity to design an elegant solution to age old problem had been staring at us for awhile. We decided to act, by creating the Thalia Strap Lock and Straps. The Thalia Strap lock is designed to prevent an instrument from slipping off the guitar’s strap peg. Its one-handed design allows for quick and simple installation and removal all while enhancing the aesthetics with a wood or shell inlay.
HOW IT WORKS
With the cap open simply slide the horse-shoe plate over the peg and close to lid to secure.

We designed the strap lock to be integrated into a strap for added security or could also be installed independently over any strap.
PEG STUDY
A ton of research went into understanding the multitude of peg options you can come across. With this information we gathered we were able to design one product that would work on 90% of the pegs on the market.
STRAPS
Straps are made of imported Italian Leather and are carefully inlaid in California by our team of talented inlay artists. Dozens of different inlay options are available in both wood or shell.
RCA FEATURE
A huge ask during our survey phase was to design a product that could account for playing plugged vs unplugged. Many acoustic guitars RCA jack is built into the strap peg. We accounted for this be designing an interchangeable lid. One closed and inlaid the other with a through hole but without an inlay.
PACKAGING
A simple, yet iconic polycarbonate case provided the finishing touches to a beautiful and unique product.
